Bribery, Human Rights Abuse, and Cromwell

According to an Ex-NCO of the British Army, one British-owned company is moving in to Discordia and seeking security for a remote location, which may involve human rights issues.

The story: The Ex-NCO of the British Army worked for a Canadian-owned mining operation for 18 mos in Angola. He witnessed human rights abuse while on the job. Now he claims to have been approached by British company for similar security work. The hiring manager of this company stated, “It’ll be much the same as you did before. The money will be good but you’ll need to know how to keep your mouth shut!”

Many sources suggest this British company to be Cromwell Oil International Ltd. In fact, an anonymous NGO concerned with protecting the indigenous people of Discordia claimed to have information about Cromwell covering the cost of up to 150 troops.

When approached by the Protector about this story, Eustace Mellish-Archer, Chairman of Cromwell stated,” We are an ethical company and no matter what we do, we are operating in an ethical way.”
