Subject: Lubricants Supply

I refer to our telecon yesterday and to the concerns raised at that time as regards sustainability of DiscoCrom as a separate company within the Cromwell Group of Companies. I have noted your unease about continuing low profitability but do point out that this year’s after-tax profit of $1.415 million represents a significant step in the right direction following three years of loss. Though such a profit is modest in absolute terms it should be seen against the background of continuing widespread disruption in Discordia in the aftermath of the recent civil war. I have every reason to believe that the target of $1.9 million for after-tax profits in 2008 is achievable - but it will depend on maintenance of good relations with our single largest customer, the Discordian Armed Forces. In addition to monetary profit however DiscoCrom will also continue to add value to the Cromwell Group through its support and advice to Cromwell Discordia Ltd. in its effort to gain government approval for development of Block 77.

I have noted your concern that DiscoCrom continues to be the sole supplier of lubricants to the Discordian Air Force and that collateral damage resulting from attacks on rebel groups by the Air Force could trigger negative comment, especially in Europe, on the Cromwell Group’s dedication to protection of Human Rights. I wish however to stress again that British Aeronautics Ltd., the manufacturers of the Air Force’s Falcon fixed-wing aircraft and Polecat attack helicopters specify use of Cromwell GK-47A lubricating oil only, if engine life is to be extended beyond that already logged by these aircraft. This is of course a tribute to the quality of Cromwell lubricants but it also means that cutting off of supplies of such lubricants would essentially ground the Air Force. Any such action would prejudice the Government strongly against Cromwell and would be unwise in the extreme while approval of Block 77 Development is under consideration.

In the circumstances therefore I propose no disruption of current supply arrangements but will of course be pleased to comply with any other directions you may consider appropriate.

S.V. Ndoro
