Election Monitoring

The Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, otherwise known as the Helsinki Commission, is an independent agency charged with monitoring compliance with the Helsinki Accords. U.S. Congressman Christopher Smith, Chairman of the CSCE is delighted to have been asked by the government of Discordia to participate in their election process, promoting "free and fair" elections. Smith assures Discordia that staff members will be sent to Discordia as "expeditiously as possible" to ensure that the "democratic process can move forward" in a timely manner.
