Cromwell committed to the environment

In February 2006, during heavy rains, a waste pit at a Cromwell drilling site overflowed.

To ease the impact of this spill, Cromwell paid generous compensation to local people along the river downstream of the incident.

As a goodwill gesture Cromwell also funded drilling of five water-wells in Enweh and smaller settlement downstream villages.

Cromwell also revised all the procedures to avoid this kind of incident in the future.
